About the Opportunity

  • Our clinics are located in Thomastown, Craigieburn and Lower Templestowe, Vic
  • Part-time role in a supportive environment
  • Flexible working hours (clinic is open 8am-8pm weekdays and 8am-6pm weekends)
  • Strong ongoing training, mentoring and career development/PD; supervision available for  graduates

Position Objectives

  • Provide high-quality service to clients, parents and carers
  • Possess strong clinical skills with ability to follow through
  • Excellent bedside manner
    •  Ability to build rapport with clients
    •  Ability to conduct dietary assessments and educate clients based on their individual needs
    •  Assessment and management of patients with chronic conditions including heart disease, malnutrition, weight loss, PCOS, diabetes, IBS/gastrointestinal conditions and fussy eating within the younger adult population
    •  Provide clients with knowledge and resources to confidently read labels and make choices that advance identified health goals when shopping for foods
  • Ability to work independently as well as harmoniously within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of clients
  • Ability to co-manage clients with different departments (OT, physio, psychology, speech pathology, chiropractic, myotherapy, allied health assistant)
  • Understand the importance of adhering to company policies, procedures and values

Skills & Competency Requirements

1. Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Experience in Independently providing dietitian consultations
  • Strong face to face Etiquette & people skills
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent ability to set treatment schedules and adhere to them
  • Ability to work in with a vast range of clients
  • Goal orientated with a huge drive to succeed
  • Ability to manage report writing deadlines
    • Good organisation skills to manage a diverse range of clientele and keep up to date with requirements
    • Ability to promote dietitian services through GP clinics and other avenues
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to the team and other stakeholders

2. Desirable but not Essential

  • Special interest in working with community clients
  • Prior experience working with NDIS, TAC & DVA clientele
