Complex Home Modifications
Complex home modifications, tailored to an individual's unique needs, greatly enhance their ability to function independently and safely within their home. Based on in-depth assessments by qualified occupational therapists and supported by the NDIS, these changes may involve structural alterations like door-widening and home layout adjustments to improve accessibility. While the NDIS recognizes three levels of home modifications (simple, minor, and complex), it's the intricate nature, higher cost, and increased risk of complex modifications that set them apart, often necessitating extensive changes to multiple home areas, unlike the simpler adjustments like grab rail installations or non-structural door modifications.
